The Odeon Collective is an Austin-based duo featuring 7-string guitarist Adam Carney and 10-string mandolinist Max Robertson. Specializing in upbeat and lively historical instrumental Brazilian music, the group brings rich textures and rhythmic depth to the classic Choro genre and other related styles, blending exciting virtuosic interplay with sweet lilting melodies. Their music brings smiles to faces and makes it hard not to tap your feet!
The duo also works with a number of other Austin music all-stars and can be heard performing as a full band that includes percussion, woodwinds, and other traditional Brazilian instruments like the cavaquinho. The music is quite adaptive and will fit just about any setting. The Odeon Collective often performs at breweries, house concerts, parties, cafes and restaurants.
